Using iTunes Download

Using iTunes 9.1 or later and iRecorder 3.0 or later, you can copy recordings to your computer from your iOS device. This article explains how to copy recordings to your computer from your iOS device using the iTunes File Sharing feature.

How to download recordings using File Sharing:

Note: If your device is set-up to sync with iTunes wirelessly, then you DO NOT need to connect your device with the USB connector to use iTunes File Sharing. It will also work wirelessly. If you can see your device in iTunes without connecting with the USB cable, then it is set-up for wireless syncing with iTunes.

Also Note: You do not need to open the iRecorder Download screen to use this feature. In fact, iRecorder doesn't even need to be running to copy your files to your computer.

  1. If your device is not set up for wireless iTunes syncing, you must connect your iOS device to your computer using the included Dock Connector to USB cable.
  2. Launch iTunes 9.1 or later on your computer.
  3. Select your iOS device from the Devices section of iTunes.
  4. Click the Apps tab at the top of the screen, and now scroll down to the bottom of the page to the File Sharing area.
  5. Select iRecorder in the File Sharing Apps List.
  6. Drag and drop files from the Documents list to a folder or window on your computer to copy them to your computer.
  7. WARNING!!: Do not delete any files from this list. Only delete recordings from iRecorder inside the app!
